Klaviyo's Billing Changes
What do they mean for your business?
You may have seen an email based on Klaviyo's recent billing. Here's everything you need to know:
Has your Credit Card been charged?
No. While Klaviyo will automatically upgrade your plan, the changes will only take effect from your next regular billing cycle.
What can you do to minimise Klaviyo's billing impact?
We have created and suppressed a segment called "Profiles to Suppress".
The segment definition is:
Placed order ZERO times over all time, AND
Opened AND Clicked Email ZERO times in the past 365 days
Why this segment?
If a customer has never placed an order, and hasn't engaged with any of your emails in 365 days (keeping in mind this means they will have received BFCM emails, sales, offers, product drops, etc., which is the best type of content to reengage this type of customer), then it is super unlikely they will convert from email as a channel.
Do you lose Suppressed Profiles?
No - suppressing profiles does not delete their data. Suppressing their profiles only ensures that they don't count as active profiles, and don't count towards billing.
If you ever need to email them, you can unsuppress them in 90 days.
If you’re not sure if you’re on the correct plan, or need some guidance ensuring you’re not overpaying Klaviyo, feel free to shoot me an email at [email protected] and let me know how many Active Profiles you have and what Klaviyo plan you’re on.
