Klaviyo's new billing updates
What does this mean for you?
Yesterday, Klaviyo sent out an email about their new billing updates.
Here’s everything you need to know:
What's actually changed?
Plans will auto upgrade/downgrade based on how many active profiles are in the account.
If pricing auto upgrades due to an increase in active profiles - this will be capped at 25%.
What's relevant for you?
Plans will now scale more accurately with usage - ie. you send more, you pay more.
The Bulk Suppression tool will now make it easier for you to keep costs lower.
Will you pay more?
If your sending frequency is consistent throughout the year, the auto-downgrades don't apply to you.
However, you will likely pay more in high-frequency periods (Black Friday, birthday sales, Christmas, etc)
At this stage, you can expect a slight increase to your Klaviyo bill over the course of a year.
What changes do we need to do?
To minimise unnecessary costs, you’ll need to manually suppress this segment every 4-12 weeks to ensure your active profile count stays low.
Hope that helps.
Best,
Don
