Smart Sending - yes or no?

How to know what to decide.

Smart sending is a setting in Klaviyo which allows you to limit the number of emails, SMS messages, or push notifications someone can receive within a set period of time. 

While this can be a good way to prevent your subscribers from receiving too many messages at once if you have many active flows and campaigns- most ecommerce brands are barely sending 1 email a week…

Meaning smart sending doesn’t matter at all.

But if you have your core flows set up (welcome series, abandoned carts, viewed product, active on site), and are sending at least 1x campaign a week - it’ll be worth turning on smart sending for a few emails in the latter half of your flows, or for some of your email campaigns.

There’s a lot of nuance to this, but I hope this helps as a general guideline.
